RUGBY SEVENS: The Noosa International 7's Festival gets under way on Friday, with junior fixtures. Under-14 and under-16 boys and girls teams will take to the fields to showcase their skills at Sunshine Beach.
The three-day event will go up a notch on Saturday, when the elite men's and women's teams start their campaigns.
There are also social and under-18 divisions to be contested.
More than 140 games will be held, with teams hailing from as far as Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea and Sierra Leone.
One side hasn't had to travel far, with Noosa Dolphins hoping to do well as host club.
